Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his fathers publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry. Mick has also created a number of local festivals and is involved in not for profit and supporting local charities.

Dear MEMO music fans,

Things are heating up here at MEMO as we bring you more fabulous live music this week!

Only two more sleeps until we welcome THE BLACK SORROWS (this Friday). Featuring the much loved and acclaimed JOE CAMILLERI, they will be r0ckin’ the neighborhood with a bunch of old and new hits! Expect to hear classics such as ‘Chained to the Wheel’, ‘Harley and Rose’ & ‘Better Times’ PLUS a selection of songs from their NEW ALBUM ‘Faithful Satellite’. It looks as though it is going to be a full-house, so we have decided to open the balcony, giving you a spectacular birds eye experience of the show.  We are also privillaged to have GALLIE who is also a MEMO favourite open the show for the Sorrows.

Don’t forget our ST KILDA FESTIVAL MEMO OPEN DAY is on THIS SUNDAY from 1pm! We are putting on FREE live entertainment all afternoon featuring THE DUSTY MILLERS, GALLIE DUO plus TANYA GEORGE… Drop by and say hello and put your name down to be in the draw to win FREE MEMO tickets!.

NEW SHOW JUST ANNOUNCED! – Due to popular demand, ‘PURPLE REVOLUTION’ – A TRIBUTE TO PRINCE is coming back to MEMO on SATURDAY 29th July. Featuring the talented Andrew De Silva  and some of Australia’s finest musicians, this show celebrates the music of the one and only ‘Prince’, an artist gone too soon. Make sure you book early for this one groovers as it is bound to sell out fast!  Also THE YOUNG FOLK (Ireland), will be performing at MEMO fresh from the Port Fairy Folk Festival for their only Melbourne show on THURSDAY 16th March. If you’re into folk with a twist, this is another you may not want to miss out on.
