The Finders Keepers 2019 Spring / Summer Melbourne edition is set to sizzle plenty of socks off. Regular hosts – Royal Exhibition Building – will be bursting with over 200 stalls of mindful makers and plenty of conscious choices for the entire community. The well-loved three day festival of discovering and exploring is back 18 – 20 October.

The momentum for mindful making couldn’t be stronger. The awareness levels are high and excitement is even louder. We’re keeping our eyes on Nelson Made, returning with a selection of slides and heels. Committed to small batch production, they’re doing their bit to support the planet in a world surrounded by fast fashion. Liar.liar fit the same bill, producing provocative and keep worthy lingerie pieces.

The debuts continue to show up and blow our market hair back. They too follow future-focused movements of sustainability and mindful making. On the wish list, this season includes Melbourne based Tinta, where you can pick up naturally hand-dyed sustainable textiles bedding – using botanical dyes and natural fibres. Another must, with a vision to bring about change to the fashion industry, Dream States are encouraging the investment into lasting quality pieces and a kinder footprint on the environment in doing so.

With open arms, we’re welcoming Gammin Threads as our Melbourne Indigenous Program recipient. Creating empowering ‘chillwear’ and accessories, this colourful label is the brainchild of Tahnee a proud descendant of the Yorta Yorta, Taungurung, Boonwurrung, and Mutti Mutti nations. Celebrating blak pride and a love of typography, Tahnee’s stall of sistahood is one to support this season.

We also welcome back our former Sydney 2018 Indigenous Program recipient – North – to Melbourne. Female artists from Munupi, Jilamara and Ngaruwanajirri Art Centres along with their families, invite you to embrace their culture and wear it with pride.

We wouldn’t be the best design market without something for the lads and the much-loved pets. Check out Torquay based Peggy & Finn for all your men’s accessories, and for the fur babies, there’s plenty to choose from. Visit Nice Digs, Roch Lola, Found & Hound, and Pablo & Co.

Shop along and experience live entertainment and activities with Cork & Chroma, Lunch Lady and the colourfully creative Beci Orpin. Refresh and recharge at a choice of bars, coffee spots and plenty of stalls stacked with delicious treats.

Come and have some fun, while joining the movement for supporting quality making and lasting longer. We’re encouraging you this season to come and #findlovekeep with us. You’ll find plenty more ideas in the aisles over the Finders Keepers blockbuster weekend. Check out the full Melbourne directory before you arrive!
