Come and visit Linden before our current exhibitions close.

Don’t miss out on seeing our two current exhibitions Julia deVille’s Wholeness and the Implicit Order and Natalie Ryan’s Imaging the Dead before they close on Sunday 04.11.18, or come back for another look.

We’ve had some great feedback from visitors, such as Pricilla, who said “Really made me reflect on life, beauty and death. Inspiring.

There’s been a lot of great press too, such as John McDonald who said “deVille turns the gallery’s Victorian-era rooms into a fantasy museum of taxidermy, antique furniture, audiovisual work and various combinations of the above, such as a fox transformed into a child’s rocking horse, or a zebra impaled on a pole from a merry-go-round.” Good Weekend, The Age, 14.08.18.

Ben Neutze commented “In this new exhibition, [deVille]’s extending her practice into holography, VR and installation as she takes over the rooms of the recently re-opened Linden New Art, imagining the original Victorian rooms of the gallery. There’s a zebra in the exhibition, but the most striking work is a baby giraffe.TimeOut, 27.08.18.

We’re all going to die. Conversations about death needn’t make for a grim evening. In talking about the unspeakable, we’re going to consider what benefits there are in coming to terms with our mortality. A Night of Better Conversation is a chance to engage with minds moulded by forces different to our own, and to go beyond our comfort zone by taking risks in what we are willing to share.

This event is presented by The School of Life in collaboration with Linden New Art. For this event, you’ll have to travel Northside to The Elk Room in Fitzroy.

WHEN > Wednesday 31 October 2018 6PM to 9PM
VENUE > The Elk Room at The Everleigh Upstairs 150-156 Gertrude Street Fitzroy
