The music of the artist, composer, producer, founding member of Noiseworks, Electric Hippies, and frontman for 1980s new wavers’ Mi-Sex — Steve Balbi — mines a kaleidoscope of life at the margins.
BALBI bespeaks Bowie ‘n’ Lennon, exploring Radiohead’s grit ‘n’ groove.
Renowned for his captivating live performances, Balbi plays songs from his new record and diverse catalogue of songs and stories that transcend both decades and genres. Don’t miss the chance to witness the chameleon live.
BALBI is back to celebrate the launch of his fifth solo studio album – Leave Enough.
Authentic. Empathetic. Humble. Sincere. It’s a record that’s inherently sentient, in subject and tone, for you feel the human element. So intuitive, so tactile, so visceral is Balbi’s new record that you can almost touch it.
Philosophers have grappled with the notion of authenticity for thousands of years, yet Balbi has found authenticity in an ensemble of songs that appear on his forthcoming record — available only in limited edition 12” vinyl and CD at the shows.
