Slip, slop, slap and stroll to Shadows Surf Saturday to see the King Hits, the Trace and Capybara Spa. Bands from 8pm, Saturday 10 October at Shadows Night Club Civic- free gig!
The King Hits are a hoppin’ boppin’ machine that will lay you out on the canvas with their punch drunk Rawk’n’Rawl.
The Trace are taking Canberra by storm with their own brand of indie surf grunge power pop, bringing catchy hooks and harmonies backed with a thunderous back line that will leave you aflutter.
Capybara Spa will be hanging ten playing a symbiotic mix of garage rock and new wave originals. While none of the members are surfers at least two of their songs count as surf: their classic ‘Fish Bang’ and the brand new ‘the Fly’- not to be confused with the Cramps’ ‘The Human Fly’ but to be confused with the Neumann and Cronenberg films.
