After a six-month hiatus exploring the rugged beauty of the Australian outback, Hazel & The Thief are making a triumphant return!
Fresh off a massive 12 months—including a No. 1 debut album on the ARIA Country Music Charts, hundreds of radio spins, and nominated for multiple songwriting awards—Hazel is returning to her roots to share the stories she’s gathered on the road.
The Venue: A Homecoming at Two Buoys
Join the crew at Two Buoys in Dromana for a high-energy, intimate show with the full band. While you might know Two Buoys as a sophisticated beachside bar serving up incredible food and cocktails, it holds a deeply personal history for Hazel. From her days as an emerging artist playing early gigs, to judging their famous live acoustic sessions, and simply being a regular customer, it’s the perfect place to celebrate her return alongside friends, fans, and the amazing venue crew.
The Music & The Vibe
Hazel’s music is a melodic, captivating blend of country, Celtic, and folk. Get ready to tap your boots to the rhythm and let her descriptive lyrics paint pictures in your mind, all beautifully underscored by the deep emotion of the fiddle.
And beware—The Thieves will steal the show! The band is made up of incredible, veteran musicians, including a very special appearance by Hazel’s own dad on bass.
Bring the Vibe:
Dress Code: Add a little theatre to the night! Hazel encourages everyone to wear their favorite handmade or upcycled outfits, hats, and boots.
Merch: Don’t forget to check out Hazel’s exclusive, handmade merchandise available on the night.
Special Guest: Ricki Wood
Kicking off this very special event is the brilliant Ricki Wood. Ricki crafts songs that feel instantly grounded, earthy, and familiar. Drawing heavily from the rich traditions of Americana, Country, and Folk, he is a storyteller who writes from the hip and sings from the soul.
Hazel and Ricki met through the local music community. As a fellow traveler who has seen more of this beautiful country than almost anyone else, he shares a deep connection with Hazel’s music—so much so that he even stepped in as one of her “Thieves” on bass at the recent Tamworth Country Music Festival!
Come for the incredible food and cocktails, stay for the world-class storytelling and foot-stomping country-folk tunes. Welcome back, Hazel!
