WALA Is Life: An awe inspiring West African drum and dance ensemble from Ghana with 25 years experience touring Australia and internationally. WALA ́s music, songs, and dances are a homage to their ancestors and cultural history, depicting the life and soul of their culture. Their music is a combination of traditional songs and rhythms fused with their own original arrangements, and accompanying highly energetic dancing.
WALA have graced the stages of numerous professional festivals and venues: Immigration Museum, Moomba Festival, African Music and Culture Festival, St Kilda Festival, Riverfest, Woodford Folk Festival, Sydney Global Village, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Canberra Fringe Festival, QLD performing Arts Centre and Tanks Art Centre, BEAMAC Cultural Arts, and Nexus Art, to name a few.
