Every week, these two exceptional bands take turns bringing their unique soundscapes to life. Both bands share a core lineup, featuring Albare guitar, Phil Rex bass, Andrew Swann drums, Mat Jodrell trumpet and piano, Phil Noy Sax. However, each band brings its own distinct flavor to the stage.
The Jazz Alchemists explore a world of melodic improvisation with Phil Rex on upright bass and Mat Jodrell on trumpet and flugelhorn. Their performances are a masterclass in jazz artistry, blending deep grooves and free-form creativity.
On alternating weeks, The Harmonix Experience takes the spotlight, powered by the rich, soulful sounds of the Hammond Leslie, played by Jake Mason. This group combines the same improvisational ethos but with a vibrant, organ-driven energy that sets it apart.
While each band starts with a musical sketch, their performances unfold with the unpredictability of true jazz improvisation. The musicians guide you through an immersive journey where even they don’t fully know the destination—but rest assured, they will take you somewhere extraordinary.
