THE DELINES WITH JIMBO MATHUS (USA)

Love Police presents a taste of real American music with the return of Portland’s THE DELINES and the Australian debut of Mississippi’s JIMBO MATHUS in June 2023.
Touring Australia for just the second time, The Delines will perform their mesmerising catalogue including songs from their critically acclaimed album The Sea Drift released through Love Police Records & Tapes in 2022.
The Delines are the result of the musical collaboration of Willy Vlautin and singer Amy Boone. The group is an opportunity for Willy – who is also a celebrated novelist, to continue writing his mini-narrative songs that he gained notoriety for as the former frontman of the alt-country group Richmond Fontaine.
Performing in Australia for the first time as a soloist, Mississippi’s
Jimbo Mathus is an American original who has blazed a singular trail since selling over 3 million records with New Orleans swing outfit Squirrel Nut Zippers in the ‘90s.
Having most recently collaborated with Andrew Bird on their shared release These 13, Jimbo has also played guitar for Buddy Guy and has become one of the 21st Century America’s most profound artists with a body of work that is a testament to his hoodoo craftsmanship and to the sounds, sights and spirits of his inspirations in the deep South.
