The Counterfeit ft. Freya Josephine Hollick ALWAYS LIVE BALLROOM MIXTAPES series at BB Sat 2 Dec 1PM

December 2, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm AEDT

DOORS 1PM // KITCHEN OPEN // SHOW STARTS 2PM
The Music of Ennio Morricone & the Spaghetti West – performed by The Counterfeit featuring Freya Josephine Hollick
Gunslingers, bandidos, outlaws and the Wild West. The Counterfeit perform a dynamic collection of Italian soundtracks derived from the greatest Spaghetti Western films of the 1960’s and 70’s.
Featuring Ballarat’s most wanted woman ‘Freya Josephine Hollick’ on vocals, the 10 piece posse interprets iconic themes including The Good, the Bad & the Ugly, Ecstasy of Gold and Django, delivering a romantic backdrop for the perfect cinematic showdown.
After sold out shows at Thornbury Theatre, Brunswick Ballroom, Memo Music Hall and Theatre Royal, plus a headlining set at this year’s Boogie Festival, the Melbourne posse are running hotter than a 10c pistol.
The Counterfeit will be releasing their second album titled ‘14 Killer Bullets From The Spaghetti West – Volume 2’ with a show at Theatre Royal Castlemaine on November 25th, and 2 shows at Brunswick Ballroom (matinee + evening) on December 2nd. The infamous John McAll will be joining the posse for all 3 shows to dazzle the crowd during intermission with his blazing set of barrelhouse piano playing.
This event is part of ALWAYS LIVE, a 17-day state-wide celebration of contemporary live music supported by the Victoria Government through Visit Victoria
We are proud to be teaming up with ALWAYS LIVE to help raise funds for their 2023 charity partner Support Act. This means that $1 from each ticket sold will be going directly to Support Act and the amazing work they do with music workers, artists and crew.
