‘Welcome to Music’ ‘Take Orff with Song, Dance & Instruments’ (TOSDI) Online Teacher Training Courses, 11th to 14th April, 2022
for educators working with 8-12 year olds

Welcome to Music is presenting brand NEW online training courses for educators equalling 20 hours LIVE and ONLINE on Zoom. Each day will run from 10.30am to 5pm Australian EST with 3 sessions and various breaks

• You can choose to do TOSDI 1 (11-12.4) or 1&2 combined
• Includes all class notes, recordings & certificate
• If you can’t attend at these times, you can watch the recordings at a time that suits you.
• We use an Orff based, multi modal and multi-sensory approach to help make the learning stick.

The courses include:
• An introduction to Orff Schulwerk
• A range of games, speech rhymes, songs, folk dances, world music, percussion instrument activities, drumming, ukuleles, recorder and improvisation
• Orff-based units – world music, jazz and blues and jam sessions
• Orff pedagogy fundamentals – theory and practice
• Orff techniques
• Movement and Dance and Vocal fundamentals and experiences
• How to play and teach recorder and ukulele
• Links to the Curriculum – The Arts
• Assessment and reporting strategies

These courses are suitable for all educators, studio teachers, music therapists, community workers and those working with 8-12 year olds. No prior music or Orff experience is necessary.

About the Presenters
Both presenters are experienced music and movement educators, accredited ANCOS Orff trainers, musicians and past Presidents of the Victorian Orff Schulwerk Association. Susie & Audrey have both taught in primary schools for many years and created resources for educators.
