(Sun, Oct 22) BONES MACKINNON (Album Launch) + Charles Jenkins + ‘Goin’ Back’ Film Screening

Independent Gippsland artist, Bones Mackinnon launches her debut album ‘Goin’ Back’ with a full band comprising: Douglas Lee Robertson – bass/harmonies (Icecream Hands), Mark Adams – lead guitar (Cold Irons Bound), Garrett Costigan – pedal steel (Melbourne legend), with members of The Swamp Dogs Greg Mackinnon – rhythm guitar, Kingsley Price – keys, and Scott Halligan – drums /percussion.
Supporting Bones on the day is Charles Jenkins. Charles Jenkins is a Melbourne songwriter/musician, producer, performer and teacher with more than 30 years experience in the Australian Music Industry.
He has released 21 albums and been nominated for 2 ARIA awards with the Icecream Hands. In 2014 he won the AGE/Music Victoria award for best folk/roots album.
There will also be a special film screening of ‘Goin’ back’ a documentary film by Chris Franklin on the day, which is all about the making of the album. Take a sneak peek below at the trailer:
