Sabor y Ritmo (English: Flavour and Rhythm) are a brand new Naarm/Melbourne-based Afro-Cuban jazz ensemble, led by Santiago-born Cuban conga player, Rodolfo Hechavarria (Panga).
The group, consisting of Panga, Joseph Bonilla (keys) Liam Powell (bass), Luke Koszański (guitar), and Will Larsen (woodwind) traverses a broad array of Afro-Cuban styles, including Mambo, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, and more.
Sabor y Ritmo are inviting you to to Open Studio on Wednesday May 24th, to an open dancefloor, to enjoy two sets of fine Afro-Cuban Jazz. Open Studio will be serving the finest crepes in town.
Sabor y Ritmo acknowledges they are performing on the stolen land of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation and pay respects to Elders Past Present and Future, and acknowledges that Sovereignty was never ceded.
