Red Hot

June 27 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm AEST

After a sensational sold-out debut at the Paris Cat last month, Red Hot comes to Eltham’s Jazz by the Green.
Step back in time to an era of elegance, charm, and red-hot jazz as two of Melbourne’s finest redheaded jazz chanteuses take the stage!
Tix available on Wednesday 18 June – be quick, Jazz by the Green shows always sell very very fast!
Starring Sarah Maclaine and featuring Jennifer Salisbury, Red Hot is a celebration of the golden age of swing, sultry ballads, and the fiery spirit of music’s most glamorous years. With velvet vocals, vintage microphones, and a wink of sass, these auburn-haired sirens revive the classics—and reimagine some modern favourites in the Postmodern Jukebox style, where old meets new with a swingin’ twist.
A SHOW FOR THOSE WHO LOVE THE CLASSICS
🎤 Sarah Maclaine – The epitome of sophistication, with a voice as smooth as silk and as rich as a vintage vinyl. A true torch singer with impeccable style.
🎤 Jennifer Salisbury – A natural swinger with effortless charm, Jennifer channels the greats of yesteryear while adding her own sparkle to the stage.
🎶 Accompanied by Mark Morand’s masterful arrangements, this performance transports you to a time when jazz was king—and redheads ruled the room.
🎶 Backed by the very brilliant Vincent Bradley (tpt), Susy Hull (sax, flute, keys) ,Annette Yates (dbl bass) and Lachlan Wallace (drums).
EXPECT:
💃 Toe-tapping swing, swoon-worthy ballads, and cheeky charm
🎷 Classic jazz standards + modern hits with a vintage makeover
🍸 All the sass and sparkle of two fiery-haired performers at their finest
✨ So don your sharpest threads, order that Old Fashioned, and settle in for a dazzling evening of music and mischief. ✨
