Located riverside on the Yarra BangPop has a fantastic outlook on the Melbourne CBD fireworks returning to their full spectacle this year!
Fresh, fragrant and fun is our philosophy and it is reflected in our exceptional standard of refined salads, curries, hawker-influenced dishes and exceptional Australian produce complemented by great cocktails!
This year we are offering our full a la carte menu for New Years Eve bookings meaning you can enjoy all of your favourite BangPop food and drinks without the hassle of a set menu. We do require a minimum spend for all bookings, please read on for more details.

Bookings for New Years Eve are available from 8pm and you can stay all the way through until 1am when we close. Main meals will conclude at 10.30pm however we will provide a snacking menu all the way through 🙂
Inside Seating
-No set menus!
-Bookings available from 8pm (pending availability)
-No seating times, stay until 1am!
-Minimum food and beverage spend of $70 per person paid in advance
-Book and pay separately if joining / creating a group
-Groups of 10 or more are required to select our Bling Bling sharing banquet for the table.
Premium Terrace Seating
-No set menus!
-Bookings available from 8pm (pending availability)
-No seating times, stay until 1 am!
-3 Hours of bottomless beverages is included with every terrace reservation
-Minimum food spend per person of $50 per person paid in advance
-Groups of 8 or more are required to select our Bling Bling sharing banquet for the table.
3 Hours Premium Bottomless Beverages – $89 per person
As part of your premium terrace seating ticket enjoy 3 hours of bottomless beverages from your booking time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I see the Melbourne City fireworks from BangPop?
Oooh yeah! We are located right by the Yarra River and there is a fantastic view of the Crown Casino and Melbourne CBD from where we are. Obviously the best view is from our terrace and there is a limited view from inside however, every year we see guests spill on to the promenade to catch a glimpse of the sparkle sparkle at midnight then head back inside following to ring in the new one with a few more beverages.
How does pre-payment work?
For both inside and terrace seating you will pay a specified amount for your food and beverage that will be deducted from your bill on the night.
Why do you have a minimum spend?
We love what we do and want you to experience the best BangPop has to offer. On key event days we would normally provide a set menu however we reckon we should focus on what we do best and that’s serving awesome Thai food as we de every day! We ask for a minimum spend so that we can provide our full menu for event evenings with confidence that every customer will enjoy BangPop to it’s fullest.
Why do you reqire a set sharing menu for large groups?
We pride ourselves on fast and efficient service. Large groups with individual orders slow down our kitchen meaning that we cannot deliver our standard of fantastic service. The Bling Bling menu also showcases our delicious meals and is great value so everyone wins!
Can you explain the Bling Bling sharing menu?
Bling Bling Sharing Banquet $74pp: Entrees: Sesame Rice Crackers, Red Curry Fish Cakes, Crispy Rice w/ herbs & peanuts. Mains: Lamb Shank Panang Curry, Beef Short Rib w/ chili caramel, Pork Belly w/ gai lan. Dessert: Mango Panna Cotta, meringue, Thai doughnut, custard, tea ice cream. Are children welcome?
Yes we are a family friendly venue, children are welcome and can order from our kids menu.
What is the minimum spend for children?
The minimum spend is calculated per person but applies to the entire reservation so for this reason, children also require the same minimum spend as adults. You can use your credit for food and drink for the entire reservation rather than just the child.
Can children sit on the terrace?
Children are welcome on the terrace however they will be required to pay the full amount of $89 for 3 hours of bottomless soft drinks and $50 minimum spend on food.
I don’t drink alcohol, do I have to pay for the bottomless drinks on the terrace?
Yes, we have plenty of non-alcohol options for you 🙂
I’m arranging a group of people to come, do we have to book all at the same time?
No! You can set up a group name and then let everyone know to use your reference when they log in to pay. Don’t forget to let them know what time and the area you have booked so they’re not sat in a different space!
What is your cancellation policy?
We totally understand things change! We’ll accept cancellations and will refund your purchase less the Eventbrite fees up until Christmas Day 2023, after this we cannot provide a refund.
I have allergies or dietary requirements, do you cater for these?
