Maddy Petch is a Melbourne born singer songwriter of the indie-pop vein whose storytelling explores the transparency of human truths with a brazen voice, broad chords and rainbow melodies. With figures such as Angie McMahon, Middle Kids and Ainslie Wills behind her sound, Petch casts a line out to those willing to brave the loud and the quiet moments with her.
‘In Close Quarters’ is a tour to celebrate Petch’s debut as a solo artist as she approaches 2025 with fruits to bear. The phrase defined means uncomfortably close, immediate or even cramped; Petch’s tour gains its title from the works she has written that came from feelings of just that, the up close, uncomfortable and personal moments. She looks forward to sharing this vulnerable candor with her audience around regional Victoria in November 2024.
