LUCID DREAMING: Catherine McQuade’s Perfect Storm, Rosie Westbrook, Sally Ford and the Idiomatics

April 14 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm AEST

An exotic trip around soundscapes and funky beats. The bandroom will be set up cabaret style with tables and seating.
ROSIE WESTBROOK weaves impossibly beautiful dreamscapes with her layered solo guitar works. Prepare to be transported to a world where time slows down, as you sink into a watery bed of fluid imagination.
SALLY FORD and the IDIOMATICS- with a daunting pedigree, and fresh from tours with the Melbourne Ska Orchestra, the Idiomatics are redefining cool grooves. Their unique hybrid of lush electro beats with an expansive sonic palette of samples, sax, flute and trombone provide the backdrop to Sally’s wry storytelling. You are in the departure lounge – destination the outer limits.
CATHERINE MCQUADE’S PERFECT STORM – With music often described as the next James Bond theme, and a recent winner of the John Lennon international songwriting competition, Catherine blends her love of a sweet melancholy melody with a 60’s inspired, Latin tinged wanderlust. Her sumptuous band joins her for this special afternoon before she leaves to shoot her next film clip in Budapest and Vienna.
