inaugural Blues and BBQ event on Boxing Day!

LIVE BLUES
Four of Australia’s premier Blues ambassadors provide the day’s grooves, delivering the rich narrative and infectious rhythm of both traditional and Australian Blues. We are truly honoured to present you with this incredible spectrum of talent from 1 pm ‘til you cain’t boogie no mo’.
2.00 pm – 3.00 pm Damon Smith
An award-winning pianist and storyteller, Damon Smith is known for his electrifying New Orleans style performances and heartfelt connection with his audience.
3.30 pm – 4.30 pm Kelly Auty & Brian Fraser
Renowned powerhouse Kelly Auty is joined by Brian Fraser, one of Australia’s finest and most well-recognised acoustic blues performers, to deliver an incredible musical experience.
5.00 pm – 6.00 pm Benny Peters & The Flybyniters
With an established and loyal following, they have been playing Rhythm & Blues since 1999. They have released three album and a 10 inch record.
6.30 pm – 7.30 pm Rod Paine & The Fulltime Lovers
They are recent winners of ‘Band of The Year’ at the MBAS Victorian Blues Awards. Enjoying the success of their most recent Blues/Roots chart-topping album “Dirt on Velvet”.
Finale
Leaning into the evening, festivities will conclude with an electrifying finale all-star jam with both Benny’s and Rod’s tribes transforming into more than the sum of their sonic parts. Boogie overload!

Prepare for a couple of scorchers – the music and the BBQ!
A delicious selection of meat, vegetable and salad options will be available for purchase from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Mick Pacholli

Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his fathers publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry. Mick has also created a number of local festivals and is involved in not for profit and supporting local charities.
