BB Sabina, Grups & Numbat @ The Pinny

BB Sabina & band are joined by local gems Grups and Numbat for an early Sunday evening show at The Fitzroy Pinnacle. Sink into the immersive psych/dream pop/alt-rock sounds of BB Sabina, Grups’s neo-psych/ post-punk/ cowboy tunes and Numbat’s folk-rock storytelling.

BB SABINA’s music is an immersive experience, drenched in rich guitar tones and emotive lyricism that draws inspiration from living in Mparntwe (Alice Springs). In 2019, BB Sabina collaborated with ARIA-nominated producer Evelyn Ida Morris (Pikelet) to release her debut EP which received airplay on Double J and PBS.
Relocating to Naarm in 2020, BB Sabina (vocals, guitar, synth) is now joined by a new lineup- Warrick Newman (bass) and Travis Germaine (drums), bringing to life all the dimensions of BB Sabina’s music ranging from immersive psych-tinged dream pop to PJ Harvey inspired rock.

NUMBAT are a folk-rock project fronted by Canberra-born songwriter Manda Gleeson and backed by some of Melbourne’s finest musicians. Featuring a rotating lineup of multi-instrumentalists, you can be sure there will be a different sonic story told with finesse and humour at every show.

Mick Pacholli

Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his fathers publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry. Mick has also created a number of local festivals and is involved in not for profit and supporting local charities.
