In the glass: Rather a bright ruby red with a peach red ring around the rim.
The nose: Delightfully Old world, floral and fruity, aromas of spice, white pepper and a whiff of older wood.
In the mouth: it has old world written all over it; Its tannic with crunchy acidity, well-rounded with notes of ripe berries, liquorice, and tobacco, with a harmonious lengthy finish.
I enjoyed this with pulled roast beef and shaved vegetable wrap with a spicy dressing. (Sth Melbourne market)
My notes are simple and to the point but sometimes that’s all a classic wine like this needs, this is why I love Italian wine.
