Ella’s Music Club has the pleasure of presenting a carefully selected and eclectic end-of-year program with some of the most accomplished talented musicians in Melbourne featuring Four Exceptional Divas.
 
The program will consist of Jazz Standards, Opera & Musical Theatre. The Joe Ruberto Trio accompanying Cam Giles with a Tribute to the crooners, as well as Dunja Lavrova on violin with arrangements of Jazz Standards.
 
Tamara Vasilevitsky performing Classical piano pieces as well as accompanying the glorious voice of Coloratura Soprano – Rada Tochalna, and the excellence of Dunja Lavrova on violin.
 
This will be a truly spectacular concert – never seen before – compared by the fabulous
Miss Chess who also entertains you throughout the night with some special musical delights.

“No praise can be too high for violinist Dunja Lavrova. She proves herself on a level of the great fiddlers of the past” – The IndependentRussian-British violinist Dunja Lavrova began her musical studies in St Petersburg. By the age of 11, whilst a student at St Petersburg’s legendary Special Music School, she won numerous competitions, toured Germany and Peru and frequently appeared on National Television as a hotly-tipped young violinist. At 13, Dunja won a full scholarship at The Yehudi Menuhin School. and moved to the U.K. permanently. Dunja is a Creative, Versatile Violinist/ Classical/ Jazz/ Rock.

Miss Chess

At 21, Chess was invited by a New York Artists Management firm to move to the ‘Big Apple’ for six months to record and release two duet singles with the infamous ukulele playing ‘Tiny Tim’.

Well known as a Rutherglen House ‘favourite’ at the legendary Captain Peter Janson’s Exclusive Soirees in Melbourne for the past two decades, Miss Chess brings theatrical and ‘old-world’ musical styles into a jazz and pop fusion.

Chess has left an indelible mark as a jingle producer and composer and can be heard across the airwaves as the singing and spoken voice on radio and television representing literally hundreds of recognised Australian and international brands and products.

Tamara Vasilevitsy

Tamara won the International Piano Competition in Warsaw, The International Chamber Music Competition in Prague, performed in Hamer Hall and the Melbourne Recital Centre as a soloist, and accompanist to various musicians, creating an exciting Classical and Jazz repertoire as well as Russian, French, Spanish, Jewish and Gypsy Folk Songs.

Rada Tochalna

Melbourne based soprano, Rada Tochalna was born in Sevastopol starting her musical career as a pianist and graduating with Honours from the Music Academy in Lviv (Ukraine), followed by a Masters degree of Arts in Music
 
Performance at the Zurich University with world-renowned mezzo-soprano Cornelia Kallisch… Rada has appeared in numerous operatic roles, including Caroline, Constance, Amor, Fairy Godmother, Foreign Woman and First
Rada is a regular soloist with the Melbourne Classic Orchestra.
