Australia’s Soul Music Extravaganza, has been entertaining Australia and the world since 1981, and is a must for ‘good times and great music’ – and will take you on a journey through the golden era of 60s-70s Soul that has delighted generations.
Featuring three superb vocalists, Wylie J Miller, Anastasia Aspeling + Walter Saluni, and backed by the renowned WaZoo Horns and Rockin’ Rhythm Masters, Grand WaZoo delivers iconic songs from artists like James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Tina Turner, Ray Charles, Gladys Knight, Al Green, Etta James, Otis Redding, The Supremes, Wilson Pickett and more. Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his fathers publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972. Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry.Mick has also created a number of local festivals and is involved in not for profit and supporting local charities.
