Domaine Rolet is a famous producer based in Arbois. Having prime old vine vineyards in the appellations of Arbois and Côtes du Jura.
Made from a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvagnin and Pinot Noir.
All hand-harvested, the wine is aged for 12 months on lees before release.
Clean and lively in the glass, with a persistent bead of bubbles rising to create a strong mousse.
The foam that forms after a sparkling wine or champagne has been poured out of the bottle, is referred to as the mousse.
The wine is dry, showing a hint of citrus fruit on the nose and mid palate. Light to mid weight in the mouth. The palate is lively with bubbles showing a hint of brioche on the finish.
This is an aperitif style, for finger food and light snacks. Best described as a crowd pleaser.
