Contemporary art-pop violin recital

I am playing my very first solo contemporary, art-pop violin recital in the Salon at the iconic Melbourne Recital Centre on May 28th this year. Tickets have just been released today.

Over the last few months – and inspired by the live streams I created during Lockdown 2.0 – I have put together a solo contemporary recital to share with audiences in the beautiful Melbourne Recital Centre Salon.

This show will be a bit different to a normal gig, in that it will flow through the story of my album From the Bottom of the Well. I will share what I have learned about the subject of trauma and family, love and loss and the optimistic hopes I have for the future. All in the form of song, live looping and exquisite light.

Deeply introspective, my solo show will be a soundscape of melancholy, sweeping strings, but also hard-hitting grooves, trance-inspired dance tracks and a whirlwind of genre-jumping (and literal jumping).

I wanted to share this announcement with you today before I let people know over on social media tomorrow, so that all of you have first dibs on tickets. COVID-19 limits capacities in venues, so if you’d like to come along, I highly encourage you to book tickets today.

I can’t wait to share this special show with you on May 28th.
