CAREERS AT CIRQUE DU SOLEIL RECRUITING & NETWORKING EVENT

Saturday 11 March 2017, 11am to 2pm

Cirque du Soleil Big Top, Flemington Racecourse

REGISTRATION ESSENTIAL!

Melbourne, VIC – March 3, 2017 – Cirque du Soleil is currently in Melbourne, astounding audiences with KOOZA, a jaw-dropping homage to the traditions of circus.

On stage each evening, fifty acrobats, dancers, singers and musicians from around the world perform super-human feats. To make each show possible, there are an additional 100 or so people working behind the scenes in a wide range of professions from electricians to physiotherapists to cooks. This could be you!

On Saturday 11 March from 11am to 2pm, Cirque du Soleil is holding a recruiting and networking event at its Big Top at Flemington Racecourse for people interested in finding out more about the careers available with its touring shows.

This is a unique opportunity to see what Cirque du Soleil is like behind the scenes, to explore career development possibilities and to speak to the people who are currently doing those jobs. It’s an eccentric, surprising, varied, loving workplace which suits anyone with the right skills who is looking for adventure. To attend the information and networking event, registration is essential by visiting the website bit.ly/event_Melbourne Cirque du Soleil currently has 18 different shows simultaneously playing around the world. To maintain each show, the company regularly recruits in technical areas such as rigging, carpentry, props, lighting, audio and wardrobe.

The 2,500 seat Big Top shows are travelling, self-sustainable villages which require many site operation personnel in the fields of electronic maintenance, plumbing, welding and more.

Cirque du Soleil always carries its own fully equipped kitchen to serve three meals a day to 300 people, six days a week. This takes a skilled team of kitchen management and catering staff. And finally, each Cirque du Soleil show travels with its own Performance Medicine unit of physical therapists to help maintain the health and safety of each acrobatic artist.

Working with Cirque du Soleil is an incredible opportunity to experience a tight-knit family made up of many nationalities, to travel the world, and to be part of a team which works together to bring joy to thousands of people every week.
