Celebrate World Bathing Day at Peninsula Hot Springs First Ever Global Live Streamed Music Event

Global Sound Bath

Peninsula Hot Springs is pleased to join the celebration of World Bathing Day on 22 June. An initiative of the Bathe the World Foundation and the Global Wellness Institute Hot Springs Initiative, World Bathing Day is an international celebration of water and the diverse rituals and cultural traditions associated with the act of bathing and cleansing.

This fourth year will be even more special as we link in with Hot Springs and musical artists around the world in the first-ever global world music event Global Sound Bath ’ and we invite our community to tune in and participate.

The musical live stream event will follow the path of the sun around the earth starting from New Zealand and moving west across to Australia, to Japan, then across to Europe and finishing in the United States.

The ‘Global Sound Bath ’ will feature live musical performances from local artists from each host thermal hot springs venue, providing an opportunity for global audiences to experience the unique culture of each Hot Springs destination around the world going live at approximately 7 pm local time.

The celebrations at Peninsula Hot Springs will commence with a global sunrise ceremony at the iconic Hilltop Pool where a photo will be taken and shared on Instagram welcoming the venue and fellow bathing lovers to ‘World Bathing Day’. People from around the world are invited and encouraged to also share bathing images on this day. #worldbathingday
celebrating our global connection to bathing.

Throughout the day a program of globally inspired wellness activities will take place.

Visitors to the Springs will be able to experience the healing powers of clay with our signature body clay ritual; be invigorated by the powers of hot and cold therapy; discover the benefits of combining geothermal bathing with yoga and calm the mind with a mindful sound bath mediation.

Guests will also enjoy an array of complimentary live music throughout the day that will include several floating sound bathing opportunities thanks to our amphitheatre in pool speakers.
