Pulsing with energy and sensuality, Stephanie Lake’s latest dance creation, The Chronicles explores the cycles of life and inevitability of change. Twelve of the country’s top contemporary dancers meet a masterful electro-acoustic score by Robin Fox, which blends driving rhythms with the ethereal sounds of Young Adelaide Voices youth choir and baritone Oliver Mann singing live on stage.
The Chronicles begins with the tiniest embryonic movement, through to explosive, pulsating life-force, and back to the final quiet.
Stephanie Lake’s choreography, and her signature blend of virtuosic dynamism, navigates these cycles with tenderness and power. From the company that brought us Manifesto (2022) and MASS MOVEMENT (2025), The Chronicles is their newest dance epic.
